I started collecting provisions at home, making the bedroom the 'staging area'; the bedroom became a bed with a path to the bathroom. Bedding, kitchenware, all manner of things necessary to live aboard for three months. I had almost decided to shop for all that stuff in Annapolis, but what would I have done without a Walmart? (The boat IS named Doublewide!)
So most of the accutraments of living got packed in the van. It got pretty full as you can see, but doggies had a great little bench that we made so they would be safe and comfortable. It raised them higher so they could look out the windows and it gave us yet more space to cram stuff in under the doggie bench!
Now, all we needed was food. Oh, and boat supplies... by the hundreds of dollars, no make that thousands of dollars. Bumpers, line (rope to 'lubbers), shackles, rigging bits and pieces, boat poles, safety equipment, the list is endless and the boat is full! |
